How to enter the beta version of Black Ops Cold War
At the time of writing, there are two unique ways to access the beta test. The first method is as simple as you expect. Those who pre-order the game will be able to log in, regardless of which version they have purchased or on which platform they have chosen to play. However, this comes with a few warnings.
It is worth noting that only digital pre-orders will have access to the early beta period. Physical pre-orders will not receive bonus content codes. On top of that, PlayStation 4 users will be able to play before anyone else, as the beta version was released “at least 5 days earlier than any other format”.
The second way to access the beta version of Black Ops Cold War comes on Sunday, August 30th. With the advent of the Call of Duty League Championship, Weekend Activision will provide 10,000 codes for early access to happy viewers. The last day of post-season action starts at 12:30 PM / 3:30 PM ET. You will want to follow our guide here to make sure your Activision account is connected and ready to go.
When is the Black Ops Cold War beta?
While the developers have not yet confirmed a start date for the public testing period, the launch of the beta seems to have already gone through the cracks. Selected players who have ordered the Arabic version of Black Ops Cold War are taken to the PlayStation 4 store page with the exact date.
According to the leak, early access for the open beta will begin Thursday, October 8. Since then, this date has reappeared as The World War II game store has been updated. Holding the cursor over the pre-order for the Black Ops Cold War in the store reveals exactly the same date. However, it is listed as a period of early access for PlayStation 4 users. Xbox and PC players will be set to follow a few days later. While on October 8 everything seems, but not final, do Accept this information with a grain until Activision concludes it.
What to expect from the beta version of Black Ops Cold War
