Both the G2 and Max can be configured with 4G or 5G connectivity to stay online wherever you go. And while both have a 13.3-inch IPS touch screen, they come in a variety of configurations. The G2 is available in a full HD version with low power, a full HD edition with HP’s Sure View privacy feature and a UHD option that supports the HDR400 and reaches up to 1000 nits of brightness. Meanwhile, the Max is only available with a Full HD display with 1000 nits with a built-in privacy shield.

The two new laptops look very similar, but as its name suggests, Max has some bonuses. On the one hand, it has a 5-megapixel webcam with an IR sensor for Windows Hello input. This is one of the sharpest laptop cameras we’ve ever seen. The G2 has the same 720p (1.2-megapixel) webcam with IR sensor as the original.
