HP launches two new Dragonfly laptops with built-in 5G and Tile tracking

Both the G2 and Max can be configured with 4G or 5G connectivity to stay online wherever you go. And while both have a 13.3-inch IPS touch screen, they come in a variety of configurations. The G2 is available in a full HD version with low power, a full HD edition with HP’s Sure View privacy feature and a UHD option that supports the HDR400 and reaches up to 1000 nits of brightness. Meanwhile, the Max is only available with a Full HD display with 1000 nits with a built-in privacy shield.

Like the original, both new dragonflies are very thin and light. The G2 weighs less than a pound (about 2.2 pounds), while the Max weighs 1

.1 kg (2.49 pounds). While some versions of the original Dragonfly offered tile tracking, you had to attach the labels to your computer yourself, which is no different than just buying your own tracker to stick to the device. Both new Dragonflies come with Tile trackers integrated in the WLAN module, which makes more sense.

The two new laptops look very similar, but as its name suggests, Max has some bonuses. On the one hand, it has a 5-megapixel webcam with an IR sensor for Windows Hello input. This is one of the sharpest laptop cameras we’ve ever seen. The G2 has the same 720p (1.2-megapixel) webcam with IR sensor as the original.
