According to a Protocol report, HTC will introduce two new ViveCon headphones next week – Vive Focus 3 Business Edition and Vive Pro 2.
The protocol mentions both devices in company documents and states that both were briefly listed in Alzashop, a European e-commerce site.
Vive Focus 3 Business Edition will be a standalone corporate handset, followed by Vive Focus Plus, while Vive Pro 2 will be the successor to the high-end VR VR computer of the original Vive Pro.
According to Alzashop, the Vive Focus 3 Business Edition will retail for € 1474 (approximately $ 1770) and the Vive Pro 2 for € 842 (approximately $ 1012). The protocol states that both devices will be available for purchase by the end of the month.
In the last few weeks, HTC has been annoying hardware messages and has confirmed that it will introduce “game-changing”
Most recently, promotional GIFs looked at some of the upcoming hardware, including a view of the front of the headset and its tracking cameras built into it above.
Previous comments from HTC suggested that its standalone headphones will not be a competitor to Quest. This coincides with the report of the protocol, which shows that Vive Focus 3 is aimed at the corporate market and at a price of about 1700 USD, does not approach the starting price of 299 dollars on Quest 2 and still is more than twice the starting price from $ 799 Quest 2 Business Edition.
Vive Pro 2 seems to be the successor to the original Vive Pro, which was discontinued mainly in March 2020, a spare for several Vive Pro Eye models.
Stay tuned for more information next week at ViveCon – or more leaks before.
