HTC is preparing to launch two new Vivecon corporate virtual reality headsets this month, according to Protocol. The publication noticed the mention of standalone Vive Focus 3 Business Edition headphones and high-quality Vive Pro 2 PC-VR headphones in company documents. In addition, the headphones were reportedly listed on the European e-commerce website Alzashop shortly before they were downloaded. The Vive Focus 3 was listed for € 1474 ($ 1772), while the Vive Pro 2 was priced at € 842 ($ 1012) – both lists say the headphones will be released on May 20, although this may is just a save date.
Earlier, the company posted a photo showing a small part of a black device in a teaser ad for Vivecon, which at least confirms that we can expect the discovery of new hardware. As early as April, the World Design Guide̵
If HTC does launch the Vive Focus 3 Business Edition, it will most likely be positioned as a much more expensive competitor to the Oculus Quest at the enterprise level. We tested its predecessor Vive Focus Plus in 2019 and found that its controllers are significantly improved over the original model. In the meantime, we’ve unveiled the first Vive Pro, which is comfortable to wear and powerful enough to perform a variety of VR titles without hiccups. We will know for sure if HTC unveils new VR headphones from Vivecon, which will take place on May 11 and 12.
