I-70 traffic returns to normal after CDOT completes work on the scale to continue until Tuesday



The cars sit on the I-70 to the east near mile 176 in Vail on Monday afternoon. The CDOT crews have completed the Daylight Saving Activities and will continue to work on Tuesday. Nate Peterson npeterson@vaildaily.com

The Department of Transportation in Colorado has completed the closure of Interstate 70 for the fall-down work it does in Down Junction for today. CDOT says the work will resume on Tuesday, but there will only be a single-band closure in both directions of the highway. Please plan accordingly and expect delays.

The CDOT crews resumed their work at about 6:00 pm On Monday morning, they stopped their traffic at intervals of 30 minutes, stroking traffic in both directions for miles.
