Ikea Fyrtur smart blinds start arriving in US, but only in retail stores

Ikea's new Fyrtur smart blinds are finally leaving the US after a delay earlier this year, but appear to be only available at retail locations so far, with online purchases still listed as "no Available. "

As Ikea announced earlier this year, the US only receives Fyrtur eclipse blinds, not the lighter Kadrilj model. Ikea sells eight sizes of blinds ranging from 23 inches wide (for $ 129) to 48 inches (for $ 179). As my colleague Thomas Riker points out in his review, the nuances cannot be cut: they are all 76 3 inches long with a maximum length that they can limit by the user as part of the tuning process.

While the Ikea website does not yet list all models, the Reddit HomeKit_Hero user has helpful in compiling a complete list of different sizes, model numbers, and prices for the US versions listed below:

  • 23 × 76 3 ⁄ 4 ″ 304.1
    74.60 $ 129
  • 27 × 76 3⁄4 ″ 104.174.61 $ 139
  • 30 × 76 3⁄4 ″ 904.174.62 $ 149
  • 32 × 76 3⁄4 ″ 704.174 .63 $ 154 [19659008] 34 × 76 3⁄4 ″ 504.174.64 $ 159
  • 36 × 76 3⁄4 ″ 204.174.65 $ 164
  • 38 × 76 3⁄4 ″ 004.174.66 $ 169 [19659010] 48 × 76 3⁄4 ″ 504.174.59 $ 179

If you are interested in getting a kit for yourself, you can check out the Ikea website to see if your local store has any kvi available, although some users on Reddit advised to call the store to ask for a model number directly, as the website still does not list all sizes.

According to Thomas, Ikea smart blinds are one of the best options for adding motorized shades to your home, given the relatively low cost compared to other options and the simple adjustment process. With that in mind, there are still some disturbing software inventions, including the lack of promised support for Alexa and HomeKit, which Ikea still says comes later this year.
