Illinois Electoral Board Says Kanye West Doesn’t Have Necessary Signatures to Include Ballot

Kanye WestKanye Omari WestKanye West may have missed the deadline to get to the vote in Wisconsin in minutes: a report by Kanye West will appear on the ballots in Colorado in November. Trump asked about Kanye’s candidacy for president: “I like him. I like his wife “MORE failed to get the number of valid signatures needed to qualify as an independent presidential candidate in the Illinois vote, local WWTW reported.

The West reportedly did not reach 1

,300 signatures. The state required 2,500 signatures to make the vote, but the civil servant at the hearing found that only 1,200 signatures in the West were valid.

Sean Tenor, a Illinois Democratic committee, told the WWTW that he was challenging petitions in the West over the rapper’s comments last month that Harriet Tubman had “never actually freed slaves” and made them “work for other white people.”

“Celebrity or not, everyone has to follow the rules,” Tenner told WWTW. “He didn’t come near.”

The required number of signatures for a qualification is usually 25,000, but a federal judge has reduced it to 2,500 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

West made a last-minute offer for president, announcing on July 4 that he was launching a campaign. He has since launched petitions to enter the major bulletins of several states.

He missed the deadline to apply for several states, including Texas, Michigan and Florida. The rapper qualified for the Colorado vote and cast his ballot in Ohio. He previously qualified for New Jersey, but withdrew his petition after being accused of election fraud.
