Intel i9-10920X 12 Core Benchmark expires, smashes AMD Threadripper

As AMD prepares to launch the third generation of its subsequent Ryzen Threadripper flaming processors in November, Intel people are revamping their proverbial engines with the company's most powerful and powerful competitor a line of enthusiastic processors ever.

Big Blues are making big promises regarding their upcoming Cascade Lake-X chips, announcing new chips that can deliver up to 2X the dollar performance of their Skylake-X predecessors. Not only that, but the company is actually looking to rain on the AMD parade, delivering these new performance monsters no later than next month.

Now, we never accept claims producer productivity as gospel and for good reason. But if the performance benchmarks for Intel's upcoming Cascade Lake-X 12 Core i9 10920X processor are still successful, then Intel's promises could very well be fulfilled.

Note: 2920X results by reviewing HotHardware 2nd Gen Threadripper, Intel Core i9-10920X rates as it leaks into the geekbench database.

Upcoming 12 Intel cores succeed easily surpass AMD's 12-core Ryzen Threadripper 2920X. The 10920X delivers more than 12% better single-thread performance in Geekbench 4 and more than 30% better multi-threaded performance in the same test. In fact, it even manages to outperform AMD's 16-core 2950X in both single-threaded and multi-threaded performance, achieving roughly the same size as its little brother in the single-threaded test and about 35,700 in the multi-threaded test. [19659003] However, as always, we urge you not to take Geekbench as a benchmark for complete completion, since with each synthetic test it has its limitations. But what it does is an indication of what to expect from Intel's upcoming 12 cores and there's nothing to sneeze at in any way. However you cut it, it's clear that the CPU wars are about to become absolutely nuclear! and it will be amazing to watch.

Cascade Lake-X will be released in October, so stay tuned for more metrics!
