Apple finally added the option to change the resolution and frame rate of video clips in the camera app in the newly released iOS 13.2, fixing one of the biggest inconveniences about video capture on the iPhone. There is only one catch: the new feature is only available on the iPhone 11, 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max.
This is not the biggest camera update in iOS 13.2 – this crown is still going into the new Deep Fusion sweater mode – but it's rather overdue. Now – instead of having to exit the camera app, enter the settings app, go to the camera menu, select the video record menu, and finally select your video mode and frame rate ̵
The only real question here is why Apple on Earth limits this incredibly useful feature to the iPhone 11 range – but if you're a disappointed iPhone videographer, consider this another reason to upgrade.
