Ivanka Trump, the eldest daughter of former President Donald Trump, broke her monthly silence on Twitter to post photos of herself being vaccinated against COVID-19 on Wednesday.
“I got the shot today !!! I hope you do too!” Trump wrote on Twitter. “Thank you Sister Torres !!!”

Trump’s enthusiastic publication on the COVID-19 vaccine is potentially significant because Republican voters and Trump loyalists are disproportionately hesitant or unwilling to be vaccinated.
About 25 percent of Trump voters told sociologist Frank Lunz that they “definitely won’t” get vaccinated, and another 21 percent said they would wait more than a year to get shot. Younger Republican women, those living in rural areas and those without higher education are particularly concerned about getting vaccinated.
