Jeremy Renner's free app, Jeremy Renner Official, was a useful place for Marvel Hawkeye fans who wanted to celebrate everything turned into an actor. But now it's shutting down because of the trolls.
The application has been in existence for several years, but has been drawing attention for the last few months. It was designed as a community hub for fans who used Instagram as a feed to see Renner's photos, post their stories and hang out. Real Renner fans who would sometimes say Renner as J Rens in the comments were suddenly greeted by a group of trolls. Things came to a head in the last week when trolls found a way to introduce themselves to Renner and other fans, using the opportunity to post hateful comments and harass others on the platform. Fans tried to repel using a community feed to post supportive content, but they didn't match.
Renner explained the exclusion in goodbye. "Because of the clever people who were able to manipulate ways to introduce themselves to me and others in the app, I asked ESCAPEX, the company that manages this app, to shut it down immediately and reimburse anyone who has purchased stars in the last 90 days," "What was supposed to be a place for fans to connect with each other has become a place that is everything I experience and can't or don't want to make excuses for," he wrote. "

Yes, we still have many ways to access the latest Renner music update and vlog (oh yes, J Rens also fits in), but it's not like we'll be able to open the app anymore and get
Rest in Peace, Jeremy Renner Official. I'll never forget you.
