JetBot is the newest NVIDIA robot: Open-Source, Ubuntu-Powered, built around Jetson Nano

To demonstrate the many cases of use of Jetson Nano that were announced on Monday, NVIDIA engineers have created an open source crawler that you can build with mostly 3D prints and is designed to work with Ubuntu Linux by default.

NVIDIA will not sell Jetbot as a retail product, but it's something you can build on your own with Jetbot Nano. NVIDIA will provide detailed instructions and parts lists to GitHub along with all the necessary software resources. NVIDIA sent a pre-created JetBot with a Jetson Nano sample that I had time to try out briefly.

Jetson Nano runs Ubuntu 1

8.04 LTS as it uses the reference L4T image and other common software components. Once you have set up JetBot to access your WiFi network, JetBot can access from any web browser on the local network where there is a web-based IDE that includes a terminal and Python editor as well as step by step. 19659004] The currently available code templates for JetBot include allowing the remote control of the vehicle via a web browser with a gaming panel, the ability of JetBot to follow an object using AI recognition and object avoidance via AI. All samples of the code use Python 3.

I only have a little time to experiment with JetBot, but it was a lot of fun and would certainly have been a training experience for consumers of all ages

Those who want to learn more about this DIY robot can do this via GitHub. And if you've missed it, check out our initial Jetson Nano review / benchmarks while tracking tests are upcoming.
