Jimmy Kimmel shares his personal life experience as a way to encourage people to vote in the upcoming elections. The host of the talk show offered up-to-date information about Billy’s 3-year-old son and his wife Molly McNearney about their health on Thursday Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Billy was born with congenital heart disease and had to undergo three heart surgeries after birth.
“I want it to bring us back so that we can focus on something we can’t afford to forget, and that is healthcare,” Kimmel told his audience. “Most of this country believes that health insurance should cover Americans with pre-existing conditions.”
Explaining the need for affordable health care and to be the topic of discussion for the election, Kimmel then shared a compilation of videos and photos sharing her son̵
“Families are breaking up trying to keep their loved ones alive,” she wrote. “People die because they can’t afford to live.”
“Mothers, don’t forget. Please vote,” read another message before showing a video of a happy Billy who lives best. “We raise him to fight for less happy children. Americans take care of each other. Vote with your heart.”
Kimmel and McNearney also share 6-year-old daughter Jane. The TV personality is also the father of two older children, Kevin and Katie, from a previous relationship. For the first time, he talks about Billy’s condition in a 2017 monologue on his show.
