The Biden / Harris campaign announced that the former vice president would attend an event in Durham to encourage North Carolina to draw up a plan to vote early during the state’s personal voting period.
The event is expected to take place around 1pm, but details on where the race will take place have not yet been released.
After this event, Biden will attend a virtual meeting with African-American religious leaders.
This marks the second stop of Biden’s campaign in North Carolina after securing the nomination. His last visit was to Charlotte, where he discussed the recovery of the American economy.
The announcement came shortly after President Donald Trump announced a campaign rally in Gastonia this Wednesday.
On Saturday, actress Kerry Washington and her husband, Nnamidi Asomuha, called for early voting and met with volunteers from the Biden / Harris campaign in Durham.
Senator Kamala Harris, an associate of Joe Biden, held a virtual event in North Carolina on Thursday after having to cancel his initial scheduled visit when two people closely involved in the Biden / Harris campaign tested positive for COVID-1
According to the campaign, none of the candidates had tested positive for COVID-19 since Friday.
