Jovita underwent an MRI after noticing symptoms Monday afternoon. Just before it aired Monday, Giovita told Channel 2̵

7;s Justin Farmer she wasn’t feeling well.

“I was really worried about why I was suddenly forgetful, disoriented and just didn’t feel well. I felt like I was in a fog and I really want to get out of this fog, ”said Yovita.

Later that evening, as she walked through the grocery store parking lot, she realized it was more than just not feeling well.

“The masked blessing was that I almost fainted when I entered Publix,” Yovita said. “I was walking. I remember walking through the parking lot and feeling like I wasn’t going to get to the door. I was almost like walking in quicksand.”

A scan of her brain revealed two small masses.

“It’s important. It will be a lot. Two small tumors somehow close to each other and they had to go away, “said Yovita. “We had to start a conversation about what this is and what it means.”

Her neurosurgeon, Dr. Edjah Nduom, said the prognosis was still unclear and he and his team were drawing up an action plan. They will know much more after the operation on Friday.

“Honestly, we still don’t know,” Nduum said. “I can tell you that Yovita is optimistic, optimistic and feels surrounded by love. All of these things feed on the fact that someone is in a good place to recover. People who function very well at a time when they are facing it tend to do better. “

Jovita is currently surrounded by her family as she prepares for surgery on Friday morning. Recovery from the operation will take 8-10 weeks and we will keep you informed about its progress on Channel 2 Action News on WSBTV.com

“I think he will be home for at least a few weeks after the operation. “I’m not sure when I’ll be back on the air, but when I succeed, I will be,” she said.

Jovita asked the community for prayers as this battle began.

“I know we have great spectators. I know that prayer warriors will work, “Yovita said. “I just felt like this was something I had to share. I didn’t just want to disappear from the air for a few months and I wanted people to know what was going on. I also want to feel this energy, this outpouring and this support. I know they will bring it. “
