Kate Middleton is looking forward to meeting her newborn niece Lilibet Diana.

The Duchess of Cambridge told reporters in England on Friday: “I wish her all the best. I can’t wait to meet her. I haven’t met her … I hope this happens soon,” she was asked about the girl.

Prince Harry and Megan Markle welcomed a daughter named Lilibet “Lily” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor on June 4. She was born weighing 7 pounds. Both the mother and child are healthy and are settling in at home, a spokesman for the couple told Fox News earlier.

Lily joins her older brother, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, at 2 years old.

“On June 4, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter Lily. It is more than we can imagine, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we have experienced from around the world, “the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said in a written statement. “Thank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family.”

Her first name, Lilibet, was a nod to the childhood nickname of her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II. Her middle name is in honor of her grandmother and Harry’s mother, Princess Diana.

At the time, Middleton and her husband, Prince William, released a statement of support on social media, further congratulating the couple on welcoming a new healthy member of the royal family.

“We are all delighted with the happy news of the arrival of baby Lily,” reads the statement. “Congratulations to Harry, Megan and Archie.”

The 70-year-old Dr. Biden and Middleton visited the Connor Downs Academy in Hale, England, with 4 and 5-year-olds.
