Kid Rock posted a statement addressing a recent video in which he used homophobic insults at a bar in Tennessee. And this time he frankly wrote the same offensive term, in case there was any mistake that it was part of his vocabulary.
The singer was caught in front of the camera last Saturday at FishLipz Bar & Grill in Smithville, Tennessee, outraged by the people who filmed him with their smartphones, at one point shouting, “You, damn it, get your phones out.”
Posting on Kid Rock’s official Twitter account with his real name Bob Richie and referring to “Kid Rock” in the third person, the musician addressed the controversy on Wednesday night (June 9): “If Kid Rock uses the word f * * insult you , there is a chance that you are like that. Anyway, I know he loves his gay friends very much and I will talk to him. Have a nice day. -Bob Richie.
FYI, we uttered the insulting word – he didn’t.
As described in this list of 10 Times Kid Rock Was the Absolute Worst, the singer’s homophobic stick (now in the form of a Tweet) is the latest in a series of offensive incidents involving “American Bad Ass.” In recent years, he has managed to spew vulgarities about Oprah Winfrey, Joy Behar and Taylor Swift, while “honoring” the late Kobe Bryant in one of the most unpleasant ways possible.
Check out Kid Rock’s Twitter response to his controversial video below (apologies for the uncensored version of the defamation), as well as the video itself below
If Kid Rock, using the word fagot, insults you, there’s a chance you can. Anyway, I know he loves his gay friends very much and I will talk to him. Have a nice day. -Bob Richie
