The donut company, founded 82 years ago, debuted in a new location on Tuesday in North Carolina, showing the new, extremely sweet menu of Krispy Kreme. It has blends like ice cream, dessert, milk shakes, and a customizable bar for glazed donuts.
The new Krispy Kreme store located half an hour east of Charlotte, is shaped by "stylistic wink" to his exterior logo. The interior features digital menus and "Enhanced Donut Theater Experience" that shows how donuts are made and screwed onto a conveyor belt.
Menu updated. One of the new products is "sandwiches with scoops", a layer of ice cream with donuts in it, served between a chopped donut that can be covered with a variety of items such as vanilla or chocolate. New milk shakes made from donut ice cream can be garnished, of course, with donuts, as well as trimmings like Oreo bits.
Donuts themselves get an upgrade; customers will be able to add five different glasses and ten trimmings.
Krispy Kreme will also reorganize its 350 US stores. But any store may not be as complicated as the store in North Carolina because menu items and storage features will vary depending on the location and size of the store.
JAB Holdings also owns the Panera Bread and Einstein's Bakes.
