Finally, Anthony Davis heads to the Laker Land.

Pelicans in New Orleans agreed to trade with the big superstar on a blockbuster deal Saturday, ending months of speculation and shaking the NBA landscape.

That's right, the Lakers, who missed the franchise postseason – recorded six consecutive seasons, are on their way back to the title. And LeBron James could not be happier. [346] James, 34, went to Instagram on Saturday night to meet his new teammate.

Davis – who is presented by Rich Paul of the Cluster Sport Club, who also represents James, has been linked to the Lakers because he has requested a deal from the Pelican in January, but a deal has never been made.

In Davis, the Lakers will add top-class talent and a great defensive presence, averaging 23.7 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.4 blocks. The 26-year-old man remains one year under his current contract and is scheduled to hit a free agency in 2020.

With the injuries of the Golden State stars Kevin Durant and Clay Thompson, the Lakers are the first to become leaders in the Western conference next season as they have the opportunity to sign another star (Kyrie Irving or Kemba Walker, perhaps?) after a free agency starts on June 30th.
