A young child surprised his parents when he finally said “mom,” using a cheerful growl that his mother described as “almost demonic.”

Footage taken by Maiken Woll Eide on May 2 shows her 16-month-old son Aidan James (or AJ) happily eating fruit at his home in Wicklow, Ireland.

She asks him if he can say “mom” and his answer is completely unexpected.

It’s all too much for father Julian Brophy, who bursts out laughing.

Ms Eide said little AJ had recently been very focused on jingling, including learning how to say “daddy”. This moment, however, was not exactly what she and her husband had imagined.

Ms Eide added: “We laughed so hard and he still says ‘mom’ like that.”

Mr Brophy shared the hilarious footage on Twitter, where some listeners speculated that AJ had a promising career as an actor.
