Judge Amy Connie Barrett faced her third day of the Supreme Court’s confirmation hearings on Wednesday.
Senate Democrats tried to force her to admire the late Judge Antonin Scalia and suggested she use it as a guide for future cases.
“I hope you don’t assume I don’t have a mind of my own,” Barrett said, “either that I couldn’t think independently or that I would just decide like, ‘Let me see what Justice Scalia has said in the past. “
“I assure you I have a mind of my own.”
