Former Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stots may not have to wait long for his next NBA opportunity. According to NBA insider “New York Times” Mark Stein, Pacers and Magic have expressed interest in Stotts.
Stein unveiled two updates on Stotts on Saturday.
“Magic” is interested in former Trail Blazers coach Terry Stots, league sources say after Orlando and Steve Clifford split today.
Stein also revealed that the Pacers have rumors of interest in the former Blazers coach.
Stots is also said to be attracting interest from Indiana as the Pacers decide whether to keep or replace Nate Bjorkgren after 1year. The Stoats have coached Portland to eight straight places in the playoffs and one conference final, coming out after a disappointing first-round loss to Denver.
Stotts set a record of 402-318 in the regular season in his nine seasons with the Blazers. During that time, Portland qualified for the NBA playoffs eight times.
