Marvel reveals Eternals, Black Panther 2, Captain Marvel 2 news and annoys Fantastic Four

Marvel on Monday described in detail new titles for several of its 2022 and 2023 movies, along with a joke that Marvel Cinematic Universe is getting closer to the debut of the Fantastic Four.

A new teaser trailer includes a first look at footage from Eternal, featuring an ensemble that includes Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjani and Gemma Chan, along with Game of Thrones alumni Richard Madden and Keith Harrington.

Black Panther 2 and Captain Marvel 2 each receives new titles along with confirmation of their dates: Black Panther Wakanda Forever debuted on July 8, 2022 and The Marvels on November 1

1, 2022. The new Black Panther title comes as the sequel prepares to begin filming without its previous lead , The late Chadwick Boseman. Actress Lupita Nyong’o recently told Yahoo that she would be “redesigned” by director Ryan Kugler to pay tribute to the actor’s loss of colon cancer last summer.

Marvel will bring Bree Larson back as Carol Danvers, but is also set to catch up with two Disney Plus series: WandaVision’s Teyonah Parris will play Monica Rambo and a new one Ms. Marvel actress Iman Velani will first debut the role of Kamala Khan in her Disney Plus series before appearing in the sequel to Captain Marvel.

We also receive release dates for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (February 17, 2023) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (May 5, 2023).

And until a date or other information was revealed, the scream included a flash of number four, annoying the eventual debut of The Fantastic Four a film to be directed by John Watts.


The Fantastic Four is still coming to Marvel Studios, as hinted at in the teaser on Monday.

In the classic Marvel way, the trailer begins with footage from some of the biggest films at MCU and offers an inspiring message about the film’s power to connect people. Includes a video of people watching Avengers: Endgame in theaters on the opening night of 2019, an experience many of them probably miss among the coronavirus pandemic.

Footage from the upcoming film about the Black Widow (debuting on July 9, 2021 in theaters and at Disney Plus), as well as Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings (debuting on September 3, 2021 in theaters) also had moments during hissing.
