Meghan Markle's ditching her sparkle – temporarily, that is.
The Duchess of Sussex, 38, is currently on her royal tour of Africa with Prince Harry, and appears to have her left engagement ring at home for the trip.
In place of her three-diamond sparkler and matching eternity band – the latter believed to be either a push present received after the birth of a baby Archie or an anniversary gift – Markle is wearing her simple Welsh gold wedding band along with a Jennifer Meyer turquoise marquise ring ($ 250).
A source told Hello! that there is a good reason why the duchess opted for subtler jewelry during her royal tour: She wants to be "low key" during her meet-and-greets with the public.
Meyer as a stand-in? Markle's a longtime fan of LA jeweler, whose other celebrity clients include Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston, Katie Holmes and many more.
The Duchess of Sussex owns a number of turquoise gems by the designer, including some dainty earrings ($ 395) , a three-stone necklace ($ 750) and diamond marquise studs ($ 600), the latter of which she also wore during her Africa tour appearances thus far.
Meyer is also the maker of Markle's gold "mommy" nameplace necklace ( $ 850), which is most likely received as a gift during her star-studded NYC baby shower back in February.
