A former aide to Melania Trump – and once a good friend – wrote a scathing post about the first lady, accusing her of just standing there while the president destroyed America.
Stephanie Winston Wolkoff wrote her song for the Daily Beast, prompted by the Capitol riots. Five people were killed, including a Trump supporter who was fatally shot and a Capitol police officer who died of head injuries after being hit in the head with a fire extinguisher.
Wolkoff called the violence “shocking, horrific, discouraging and shameful.”
“It was an attack on human life and our great democracy. Unfortunately, our president and first lady have no attention, if any. “
She describes herself as “Melania̵
Wolkoff talks about how the role of the president in the Capitol attack does not surprise her, but how she keeps the first lady silent – even though she is at her best read by a teleprompter.
Corpses, Walcoff writes, “have no character and no moral compass. Although my intentions to support the First Lady in spreading her initiatives have always been clear, I am discouraged and ashamed to have worked with Melania. “
Wolkoff, who once gave parties to Anna Wintour, and the first lady became friends almost 20 years ago. She was there when Melania married Donald and was in Barron’s baby shower, The New York Times reported.
She went to work for the first lady shortly after taking office as president, which she helped plan, but resigned just a year later when the Times reported that the founding committee had paid millions of dollars to the company she founded.
Walkoff then set it all down on paper, writing a collection entitled “Melania and I: The Rise and Fall of My Friendship with the First Lady.” The book was published in September. Melania struck a blow, calling her ex-boyfriend a “dishonest opportunist.”
In her edition, Walkoff tells how the first lady will leave behind “no legacy or profile to be proud of.”
“Melania is no better than Donald in terms of the need for attention. She squandered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create a platform that would change the lives of so many children, and provided none of that. … In her free time, she does “albuming” and makes albums full of her photos. Melania is just a continuation of her husband, just as hypocritical, speaking from both sides of her mouth when it is most convenient for her. ”
She continues: “What does a mother do when a father is a abuser? Many still believe that Melania is powerless, but make no mistake; she is also a bully, of the worst kind. The one who speaks kindly to children. The disease is under the skin. Melania knows and supports Donald and his views. If you hit him, he will hit you harder. He is a brass, aggressive person and she chooses to smile and bear it. She closes her eyes. The truth is, she actually encourages him to do so. Be aggressive. She is his biggest cheerleader. “
