Michigan vs. Notre Dame score, seizure: No. 19 Werewolves dominate No. 8 Irish in Rainy Big House

No. 19 Michigan just picked up its best win of the season, dominating from start to finish in a 45-14 victory over No. 9 Notre Dame in the Big House. The victory was Wolverines coach Jim Jim Harbaugh against top 10 opponents during his time in An Arbor, Michigan, while Fighting Irish coach Brian Kelly fell 4-12 against ranked opponents in real road games.

Heavy rain in the first half put serious limits on what any offense can do with their passing attack, but Michigan established a first-half lead 1

7-0 behind the complete line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Notre Dame put his hands together, trying to pull off the dynamic duo of running backs Hasan Haskins (20 carries, 149 yards) and Zach Charbonnet (15 carries, 74 yards, two touchdowns). When the Irishman forced Shea Patterson to fall into a third and long situation, he was able to come up with enough key throws or a fight for the first downs.

The game first turned when a Notre Dame foul put Michigan in the scoring position, though the Irish did a good job keeping the Wolverines to a goal. Then, when Michigan got the ball back, it didn't even try to throw it through the heavy rain, getting involved in all eight touchdown games, which gave the Wolverines a 10-0 lead early in the second quarter.

Notre Dame may blame the conditions, but Michigan also had to play in the conditions and find ways to be successful. This is the most disappointing performance of the season so far for the Irish, and he will face off against a rival after doubling down on Notre Dame fans this week.

Here are three things you need to know about Michigan's great profits.

1. Harbaugh just doubles the number of her top 10 wins : The Wolverines are already 2-10 against the top 10 teams under Harbaugh and this is not insignificant given the context of Saturday night's victory. Harbaugh was the subject of a rumor rumor, and the talk of an alleged "exit strategy" had enough reach for him to send a letter to his parents, calling the allegations "utter nonsense." To follow up this week with a win against a top 10 opponent, soothe any worries right now and add a signature victory for fans during a season in which the Big Ten – and Ohio State's outburst – seem to be out of reach again.

Harbaugh's teams were able to defeat less talented opponents throughout his work, but the breakthrough was not where his program was very successful. The rain did play a huge role, but in order for Michigan to be better prepared to handle the elements, the coaching staff and dressing room suggested that Harbaugh be termed "enemies"

2. Offensive Michigan's line and game may be tops: Preferred insightful listeners on the Cover 3 Podcast that Michigan's offensive transition should have had some growing pains and the expectation that everything will press in early September may overlook the inherent challenges in performing of dramatic changes with a mostly experienced unit. Something seems to have clicked in the second half of the loss to Penn State, and we have seen Paterson look comfortable again with the offense, and the offensive line opens lanes for Charbone and Haskins. When you pair that with Michigan's defense, which has been at an elite level for the past few weeks, it's a good recipe for Michigan to start making profits in November as it approaches this epic regular-season finale against Ohio State in Ann Arbor.

3. The loss ends with Notre Dame's football playoffs: The Irish will be in the mix for the sixth New Year's Cup, but the chances of a top four finish in the Christmas Football Playoff standings at the end of the season after losses in Georgia and Michigan are slim. Notre Dame needed a split between those two initial road games against quality opponents in order to have victories that could be compared to other teams with one loss. With two losses, Notre Dame falls into a far less exclusive club of teams that also likely won't be in the mix for fourth place at the end of the season.
