The company said affected services include Outlook.com, Office.com, Power Platform, Dynamics365 and Microsoft Teams, including Teams Live Event.
“Existing client sessions are not affected, and any user who has logged into an existing session will be able to continue their sessions,”
According to Down Detector, a website that tracks Internet outages, users report problems with login, server connection and Outlook. The interruptions started around 17:00 ET for Office 365, according to the site.
Microsoft initially referred to the suspension of a recent change to the platform, but later said it “did not see an increase in successful connections after the recent change was canceled. We are working to evaluate additional mitigation solutions while investigating the root cause. “
The company said it “sees improvement for many services after mitigation steps are in place” and will “continue to monitor services to ensure full recovery.”
