According to Down Detector, a website that tracks Internet outages, users report problems with login, server connection and Outlook. The downtime started around 5pm ET for Office 365, according to the site, and severely affects consumers in California and Washington.
Microsoft initially referred to the suspension of a recent change to the platform, but later said it “did not see an increase in successful connections after the recent change was canceled. We are working to evaluate additional mitigation solutions while investigating the root cause. “
