Microsoft updated its Teams service with a new dynamic view in March. This new view allows Teams users to share content side by side with participants. It seems ideally positioned for meetings where someone presents a slide deck or if participants watch a live event together.
Dynamic content such as earnings reports, slides, or videos can be displayed with other speakers. Currently in Teams, other participants’ video feeds are small when people share a screen or present decks. The Microsoft Team Gallery view will be automatically optimized with this new view and allow attendees to customize the view.
It will also highlight more clearly active speakers, people who have actually raised their hands, and will allow participants to fix people on dynamic content. Originally introduced in July, this new dynamic view will be available to all Microsoft Teams users in March, according to Microsoft̵
The use of Microsoft Teams has increased in the last 10 months since the pandemic, and the service is now used by over 115 million people a day. Microsoft is adding features to Teams on a monthly basis, with virtual breakthroughs appearing in December, along with an improved chat experience.
