SALE – The Yankees were informed by Major League Baseball that the dying Gabe Morales should not have given the Dodgers time in the ninth inning of a 2-1 loss last Saturday at Dodger Stadium.
This conversation is probably going to cost the Yankees a run.
Manager Aaron Boone was told that Morales should not stop playing with Gliber Torres on the way home while Dodgers second baseman Max Munsey was lying on the ground with the ball after Brett Gardner cut his feet on a rink. "It shouldn't be called," Boone said before Tuesday's game against the Mariners.
Boone said that he had continued since the incident.
