Infinity Ward Community Manager, Ashton Williams, responded to what players define as "their biggest complaint" in the alpha of modern warfare.
Modern Warfare's Gunfight Alpha dropped a little earlier than its planned release date of August 23. It seems that most players got their first chance to touch Infinity Ward's latest installment in the Call of Duty series.
As is standard with early game builds, the Reddit thread is designed specifically to track bugs and issues in the game to minimize potential issues with launching them.
Alpha released one day earlier and received generally positive reviews.
One hot topic among fans was a new visual feature for Call of Duty, where the player's screen pulsed in black and white when seriously damaged. Most CoD games have a similar feature as the red fog that appears around the edges of the screen when it is badly damaged.
However, many Reddit users complain that the new visual feature impedes visibility and fights players to cope.
Reddit u / speedy117 said, "You can get used to it, but I don't like how your screen goes black and white when you're really hurt."
Ashton Williams, Infinity Ward Community Manager, replied that has "seen several comments on the matter. No promises, but something we can look at. "
As a community manager, Williams focuses on communication, not direct involvement in game development, but it will convey the feedback to game developers.
One Reddit user stated that this was the "biggest complaint" with Alpha Gunfight, while another said he would prefer the "old" red / blood "huddle around your screen when damaged, full B&W is annoying, it feels weird to watch and make fighting back incredibly difficult. "
While nothing has been promised, it certainly sounds like Infinity Ward is accepting feedback from the community and is open to changes to their game.
This is the second feature that Williams has promised will pay attention to Infinity Ward after earlier saying it would explore the possibility of adding custom ADS sensitivity controls. However, the console's FOV slider will not be included in Modern Warfare, as confirmed on August 23.
