A British mother claims that her newborn baby was cut in the face with a scalpel during a caesarean section, leaving her a mark for life.
23-year-old Amber Woolard claims that baby Valencia needed plastic surgery for a 2-inch incision under her nose – a surgeon tells her that this could not happen naturally, according to The Mirror .
Baby Valencia is expected to need at least three more surgeries and may have permanent signs, according to the document.
"And look at this as a serious case of neglect by the NHS," says the young mother, referring to the UK National Health Service.
"My dear daughter left scars for the rest of her life because of this," Wallard added.
"We would like to reiterate our apologies to Ms Wallard for failing to meet her expectations and the suffering caused after the birth of her daughter," said the hospital "The Mirror regrets that her daughter was born with signs of facial trauma and we shot Mrs. Wallard why we believe that facial features are very unlikely to have been caused by a scalpel used during the caesarean section.
