Monster Hunter Rise is compatible with amiibo. On this page you will find details about how amiibo works with the game, as well as information about the unlocks.

What does Amiibo do with Monster Hunter Rise

Because Monster Hunter Rise has amiibo functionality, you will be able to scan and read any amiibo. There is also three Monster Hunter Rise amiibo which:

  • Magnamalo amiibo
  • Palamute amiibo
  • Stick amiibo

The type of amiibo you scan results in various rewards and unlocks.

Where to Buy Monster Hunter Amiibo

Currently, the three amiibo of Monster Hunter Rise are exclusive to GameStop in the US and are coming out of stock pretty quickly. You can try to order them from Amazon Japan, which price difference is minimal even on delivery, but they will be shipped by June. IGN distributes tweets when they become available in GameStop.

Amiibo rewards and unlocks

There are two types of rewards and unlocks that you can get from amiibo in Monster Hunter Rise.

You can enter lottery amiibo. You can scan any amiibo to enter this lottery every day. However, this has a limitation and you can only scan amiibo three times a day for that. You will receive useful (but not exclusive) items such as traps, bombs and more.

The three exclusive amiibo Monster Hunter Rise will also be unlocked special bonuses. That’s all Sinister Seal cosmetics inspired by Magnamalo and vary depending on the amiibo you scan. Keep in mind that these bumper sets are layered bumpers – they have no statistics and are designed to be worn on a normal bumper to change only your appearance.

  • For Magnamalo amiibo, you will receive a set of layered armor Ominous seal for your hunter.
  • For Palamute amiibo, you will receive cosmetics with a complex armor Sinister Seal for your Palamute.
  • For Stick amiibo, you will receive Sinister Seal layered cosmetics for your Palico.

How to use Amiibo

To use amiibo, you will need to talk to The merchant Kagero in the store. Here you can choose Read amiibo to start using them.

Once your amiibo is read successfully, you will be able to type lottery amiibo or claim bonuses.

The amiibo lottery is similar to the normal Market lottery, which you can enter when there is a sale in the game.

How to equip a multilayer armor

Once you have claimed your bonus, equip the layered armor for your hunter in the item box. Multi-layer bumper for your Palico and Palamute can be equipped on a Buddy Board.
