Health officials in Washington state are quarantining more than 300 people after attending a wedding earlier this month.
More than a dozen attendees agreed on COVID-19 at a giant ceremony held privately near the town of Ritzville, Washington, on Nov. 7, Grant County Health said Monday.
A total of 17 people took positive tests after attending the event, the health region said, adding more positive cases every day. Wedding guests who have passed positive results are associated with two additional hearths.
The public health authority has asked everyone at the wedding to be examined and remain in quarantine until November 21.
Under current Washington state rules, weddings are limited to a total of 30 guests, while indoor receptions are banned from Monday.
It was not immediately clear whether the Ritzville wedding included an indoor reception.
