NASA's Transit Planet Exile Satellite (TESS) has discovered three new planets, all of which orbit the same star.
The star which orbit is smaller and cooler than the sun.
2 of the planets are thought to be similar to Neptune at 260 degrees Fahrenheit, but one is considered to be potentially habitable.
It is currently called GJ 357 d and is also called Super Earth.
"This is exciting, as it is the first humanity's near superpower to harbor life ̵
That's about 31 light-years away.
And much hotter than earth, about 150 degrees Fahrenheit.
"If GJ 357 d showed signs of life, it would be at the top of everyone's travel list – and we could answer the 1000-year question of whether we are alone in space," Kaltenegger said.
