Netflix on Thursday announced the launch of its e-commerce foray with Netflix.shop, an online store that will sell exclusive limited edition products inspired by Netflix shows and created in partnership with emerging artists.
The store will bring clothes, toys and games. In June, the new online store will release clothes and action figures based on the anime series “Yasuke” and “Eden”. Items made in collaboration with the Louvre Museum and inspired by the original Netflix series “Lupine” will also be dropped this month.

Upcoming collections will include products inspired by Netflix programs such as The Witch and Stranger Things. The store will also sell clothes with the Netflix logo, produced by the Japanese fashion house BEAMS.

The store will initially be available in the United States only, before expanding to other countries.
As of Thursday afternoon, the website appears to be offline, which probably implies a high traffic rate. The Hill turned to Netflix for comment.
“We’re excited to give fans a new way to connect with their favorite stories and introduce them to the next wave of artists and designers who see the power of storytelling in all its forms,” Netflix said.
As The New York Times reports, this new venture is led by Josh Simon, who heads the company’s consumer products division and joined Netflix in March 2020. Under Simon’s leadership, Netflix has formed partnerships with retailers such as Walmart, Amazon, Target and Sephora.
