From the creator of “The Haunting of Hill House” Mike Flanagan and producer Trevor Macy is coming “Bly’s ghostly mansion, “The next long-awaited chapter in the anthology series.
We still have to wait two weeks to get into Bly Manor, but this morning the full official trailer invites you inside with an expanded overview of the brand new October season.
Set on the grim piano cover of Mötley Crüe’s “Home Sweet Home”, the trailer feels appropriately epic, presenting the cast and teasing the ghostly events, without really giving much to the plot. All we need to know is that many Hill House stars are returning, there is a new house and all the new horrors await them.
Enter “Bly Manor”
Set in 1980 in England after the tragic death of the couple, Henry Wingrave (Henry Thomas) hires a young American babysitter (Victoria Pedereti) to care for their orphaned nieces and nephews (Amelie Bia Smith, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth) who reside in Bly Manor with the chef of the Owen estateRahul Kohli), landowner Jamie (Amelia Iv) and housekeeper, Ms. Grose (T’Nia Miller).
But everything is not as it seems in the mansion, and centuries of dark secrets of love and loss are waiting to be revealed in this chilling gothic romance. In Bly Manor, dead does not mean missing.
Production partners Flanagan and Macy draw on the iconic supernatural stories of Henry Jamesto create the dramatic ensemble that also participates Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Kate Siegel, and Tahira Sharif. The series is executive producer of Flanagan and Macy for Intrepid Pictures, along with Daryl Frank and Justin Falvey for Amblin TV.
The series will be available to Netflix members worldwide at October 9, 2020.
