Network score against Bucks, making: Giannis Antetokounmpo, Milwaukee won a big victory over Brooklyn in match 3

After dropping two games in Brooklyn, the Milwaukee Bucks made a much better effort on Thursday night in Game 3 of their best of seven series against the Nets. Janice Antetokunmpo and Chris Middleton had huge performances for Milwaukee, and the duo took a total of 68 points. Thanks in large part to their results, the Bucks managed to pull off a decisive 86-83 victory over the Nets in Game 3. With the victory, Bucks avoided falling into a deep 3-0, as the series is now more manageable 2-1.

After completely skipping the nets in the beginning, the Bucks managed to maintain a solid effort during the full 48 minutes of the game ̵

1; and this is exactly what was needed, as the game came to final possession. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving combined 55 points for the Nets, but in the end their production was not enough to do the job, especially since they did not get too much help from the rest of the list, except for Bruce Brown, who had a good game.

The win was solid for the Bucks and was a heavy loss for the Nets. But neither team can stop there for too long, because both teams will return to action on Sunday for match 4. Before moving on to this game, however, here are three withdrawals from the victory in Milauki in game 3.

1. Grandmothers avoid a historically insurmountable deficit

Odds are against Bucks in this series. They lost the first two games of the Nets and the teams that are 2-0 behind in the best of the seven series continue to lose this series over 97 percent of the time. But although a 2-0 comeback is unlikely, it is not impossible, as it has been done many times in most cases. Earlier this season, the Clippers beat the Mavericks in seven games after being eliminated in the first two games. Being 3-0, however, is another story. No team in NBA history has returned after being 3-0 in a series. So that’s what the Bucks face in Game 3. Luckily for them, they finally managed to win and avoid the historically insurmountable 3-0 hole. The 2-1 series is much more manageable, especially since two of the next three games will be in Milwaukee.

2. The stars of Milwaukee are superior to the stars of Brooklyn

The NBA is a star-studded league, and this is especially true in playoffs, where teams tend to go as far as their top players push them. In Game 3, the Milton and Middleton and Antetokumpompo duo of the Milwaukee stars had a more productive performance than Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving for Brooklyn. Together, Antetokunmpo and Middleton combined for 68 points and 29 rebounds. Those 68 points were 79 percent of Milwaukee’s total points production – no duo in NBA playoff history has ever scored a higher percentage of their team’s total points.

On the other hand, Durant and Irving combine for 52 points and 16 rebounds, which is not terrible, but pales in comparison to the duo of Milwaukee. Moving forward, the Bucks will need more performances like that of Antetokounmpo and Middleton is that they will start the series upset.

3. An unforgettable game for Joe Harris

Joe Harris is one of the best scorers in the entire NBA, but you won’t know it from watching Game 2. Harris had the opportunity to give Brooklyn a boost with his shot, but he failed again and again. Harris played 37 minutes into the game and he made only one shot, although he made an attempt at 11. That’s a shooting percentage of nine. The Nets depend on Harris to provide ancillary scoring support to their stars, and he failed to deliver for Brooklyn in Game 3. The good news for the Nets is that they lost the game by just three despite Harris’ fights and he is unlikely again shoot badly.
