New footage of the highly anticipated Avengers: Endgame was shown at CinemaCon today in Las Vegas, and this suggests Captain Marvel can play an important role.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney showed "a few minutes" of the film and one scene showed that Captain Marvel (Bri Larson) tells the Avengers that they are planning to kill Thanos. They may not have succeeded in the war for infinity, but Captain Marvel says in the new footage: "Before I was gone." Captain Marvel the hero is incredibly powerful, so he will undoubtedly be able to help the Avengers in whatever plan to come.
Captain America (Chris Evans) loses his behavior in the new footage, and makes no secret of Tanos, "Let's take that son of a bitch." ComicBook also saw footage, and the site reported that the shots include the nebula that says he knows where Thanos is and that Captain Marvel has a confident attitude and believes that Thanos has never been before a man as powerful as her. Captain Marvel is also obviously talking about wanting to use the stones to overturn Thanos's snare.
CinemaCon is an annual exhibition where cinema owners gather. Big movie studios usually visit and show footage from their upcoming movie. The event is not open to the audience, and there are no live movies or shows, so the reports are just text.
Avengers: Endgame hit the theaters on April 26; Tickets are already sold, and pre-sales make records and break tickets for ticket sales. You can watch the last official trailer above.
