Travel + Entertainment reports that the same company that operates luxury glass-domed trains in Western Canada, Rocky Mountaineer, plans to launch a new route from Denver to Moab in early August 2021
The train journey focuses on great views of glass-domed trains with outdoor decks, gourmet dining and great service as you hand over your bedding – leaving that to the hotel in Glenwood Springs.
“Rocky Mountaineer will bring a new luxury train tour to explore the historic rail route between Denver and Moab. Over the last 30 years, Rocky Mountaineer has become known for our experience of world-class train travel, and we are now opening our newest train experience in the region where the history of train travel began, ”said Peter Armstrong, founder of Rocky Mountaineer. “This region, with its magnificent landscapes, national parks and vast opportunities for exploration, will delight millions.”

The two-day trip starts at $ 1,250 per person and appears to have two classes of travel for existing trains on the Rocky Mountaineer route network: Silver Leaf and Gold Leaf. It is not clear from the website whether both will be available on the new route. Rocky Mountaneer currently operates three routes in western Canada between Vancouver and the Canadian rock cities of Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper.
