NFL 2021 Project: ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. evaluates giants, gives 2 thumbs to “Trader Dave”

Long live the merchant Dave.

Giants general manager Dave Gattleman continues to receive rave reviews for managing the New York board during the 2021 NFL project.

Among those praising Gettleman is ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kipper Jr., who gave the Giants a B + rating for their efforts on a three-day project.

The speech in this Giants project is related to a general manager Merchant Dave Gettleman traded not once, but twice, marking the first time he traded in his nine drafts as general manager. This is pretty amazing. Gettleman received extremely valuable 2022 by the Bears in a deal in which the Giants dropped nine places in Round 1

. This team is still recovering and Gettleman is under pressure, so give him credit for long-term thinking and seeing the bigger picture. If the bottom falls for Chicago in 2021 – never known in the NFL due to injuries – this could be one of the deals of the project.

I liked all three of Giants’ best choices. Kadarius Tony (20) is a quick slot target that will make the quarterback’s life easier Daniel Jonesto take the next step in year 3 (Urban Meyer has already said that Jaggs would take Tony at number 25.) Jones has solid weapons around him – there’s no way they can average the 3.0-yard level again after the catch – although the offensive line is still mediocre. Edge rusher Azeez Ojulari (50) is perfect for Patrick Graham’s 3-4 defense, and New York took advantage of taking him in the middle of the 2nd round. Cornerback Aaron Robinson (71) started his career in Alabama and shone last season at UCF.

New York had only three photos of Day 3 and Ellerson Smith (116) was my favorite of the trio. It is 6 feet-6 and had 14 sacks and 21.5 loss battles in 2019, although it still works. The choice added by Trader Dave – especially the one in first place in 2022 – and the value it received with its three best offers makes it stable.

It is worth noting that Cyprus in all his speeches is not the end of all, especially the projects of analysts. NJ Advance Media’s Chris Franklin rated Cyprus’ final fictional project, and ESPN’s project guru hit just four of the 32 peaks in the first round.

1. QB Trevor Lawrence, Jaguars Jacksonville

2. QB Zack Wilson, New York Jets

4. TE Kyle Pitts, Atlanta Falcons

13. OT Rashawn Slater, Los Angeles Chargers
