What to watch out for: Is this Matt Patricia’s last position as Detroit coach? After three double-digit losses in the last four games of the “lions” (and a loss of 21 points lead in one victory of the team during this section), things are pretty terrible for the third coach. How Detroit reacts, knowing how hot his coach’s place is – in his only national TV game of the season – is the biggest storyline for any team in an otherwise memorable game. “Michael Rothstein.”
Bold forecast: The Texas runners running back, Duke Johnson, will aim to reach a high season of 75 yards. The Texas game has struggled throughout the season and in both games, started for the injured David Johnson, Duke Johnson combined for 69 yards on 24 runs. But this week, the Texas face the 30th-ranked defense in the NFL, with the Lions allowing an average of 139 quick yards per game. “Sarah Barshop.”
Statistics you need to know: Houston quarterback Deschaun Watson already has five games with at least 300 yards to go this season, tied to the most in one season of his career (2018). Only Matt Schaub has had more such games in one season in Texas history (nine in 2009 and seven in 2010).
Injuries: Texas Lions
What to know about fantasy: Duke Johnson’s 11-week production was astounding, but the fact that he received 76.9% of Houston’s run carries weight as the Texans face the league’s worst defense against fantasy RBs this season. See the ranking of week 12.
Betting bet: Detroit is 6-2 against Proliferation (ATS) in its last eight Thanksgiving games (covered last season). Read more.
Choice of Barshop: Texans 24, lions 17
Rothstein’s choice: Texas 31, Lions 17
FPI forecast: HOU, 56.1% (with an average of 2.1 points)
Thanksgiving Day: The Texans and Lions met on Thanksgiving in 2012 in a game remembered for some controversy. The Texas runners-up Justin Forset scored an 81-yard quick touchdown, despite repetitions showing that a number of Lions players dealt with him and his knee and elbow touch the ground near the midfield. But the flag of the challenge from Detroit coach Jim Schwartz canceled the automatic review of the cabin of the result and the Texans continued to win 34-31 with a goal in the overtime of Shane Graham.

What to watch out for: With first place in the NFC East on the line – at least until Sunday – which team will make fewer mistakes? The Cowboys have at least one turnaround in every game since the start of the season and have 21 in the season, the second largest in the league. Washington has 17 hands, which is a draw in fifth place. While the teams’ 3-7 records show how badly the season has gone, they still have a chance to qualify for the playoffs by winning the split. Taking care of the ball is even more important when the error field is so small. “Todd Archer.”
Bold forecast: In three home games against Washington, the Cowboys, repelling Ezekiel Elliott, averaged 113.3 yards and 1.3 touchdowns. So naturally, he will rush for 113 yards and a touchdown on Thursday. Washington’s current defense is inconsistent at best, in part because some of its troops continue to use two-gap techniques in a single-gap system, and then the lavers don’t attack often enough. Quarterback Alex Smith will keep Washington in this game, but when Elliott breaks 100 yards, Dallas is 23-4. “John Keim.”
Statistics you need to know: Washington’s all-time successor Terry McLaren has 120 appearances in 24 career games. McLaren needs 11 against Dallas to have a maximum of 25 games in the franchise’s history in Washington. The Ohio product is currently third on the list after Jordan Reed (130) and Gary Clark (122).
Injuries: Washington Cowboys
What to know about fantasy: In the last three weeks, Washington’s Antonio Gibson and JD McKisich have been in the top 10 backs. See the ranking of week 12.
Betting bet: Dallas has 1-8 ATS in its last nine Thanksgiving games. Read more.
Choice of Keim: Cowboys 27, Washington 24
Archer’s choice: Cowboys 27, Washington 17
FPI forecast: WSH, 54.8% (with an average of 1.7 points)
Thanksgiving Day: In 1974, reserve quarterback Clint Longley came in for an injured Roger Staubach with the Cowboys trailing Washington 16-3. Longley collected Dallas to victory, making 11 passes for 203 yards. He returned the return with a 50-yard touchdown pass to Drew Pearson with 28 seconds left, and the extra point kick gave the Cowboys a 24-23 victory.

Match rating: 90.1 | Distribution: PIT -4.5 (45)
What to watch out for: The Steelers insist they do not have the number of Raven’s quarterback Lamar Jackson, but they forced him to turn the ball four times in the previous match and throw three interceptions in his lonely match in 2019 (Jackson was removed from the game this week 17). The Ravens still managed to run all over Pittsburgh earlier this month, but the pressure and ability of the Steelers to make Jackson uncomfortable is very effective. Look for them to dial it again. “Brooke Pryor.”
Bold forecast: Steelers quarterback Ben Rothlisberger will throw four passes for a touchdown. Since 2013, he is 4-1 against the crows of Heinz Field, throwing 13 touchdowns and three interceptions (104.0 pass rating). In Baltimore’s four losses this season, the defense dropped 10 touchdowns and recorded one interception. “Jamieson Hensley.”
Statistics you need to know: The Steelers are the 14th team since the 16-game schedule was introduced (1978) to start with a 10-0 record, and only one of those teams finished with less than 13 wins (the 2015 Patriots went 12-4). Pittsburgh could win a place in the playoffs in week 12 with a win on Thursday and a loss to the Raiders and Dolphins on Sunday. This will correspond to the earliest clinch since the playoffs expanded to 12 teams in 1990 (now 14 teams), but only one of the six teams that won a place in Week 12 continued to win the Super Bowl (Washington in 1991). ).
Injuries: Ravens Steelers
What to know about fantasy: Baltimore’s wide-ranging successor, Marquis Brown, has seen the full drop in his fantastic points in each of his last five games. See the ranking of week 12.
Betting bet: Pittsburgh is 8-2 ATS this season, the best score in the NFL. Read more.
Hensley’s choice: Steelers 31, Ravens 23
Pryor’s choice: Steelers 34, Ravens 31
FPI forecast: PIT, 53.8% (average 1.3 points)
Thanksgiving Day: A 2013 match – the only other such match between these teams on Thanksgiving – ended in a failed attempt to tie 2 points to convert a game for Pittsburgh, leading to a 22-20 victory for the Ravens. But the game is remembered with a 73-yard comeback. Baltimore returnee Jacoby Jones sprinted to the left and seemed destined to take him home, but nearly ran into Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, who was very close to the pitch. Jones didn’t score and the goal ended with a goal on the field. Tomlin was fined $ 100,000 for the incident.
