NFL Week 2 Grades: Brows Receive & # 39; A – & # 39; for a blowout win, shameless Jets get & # 39; D – & # 39;

If the 49ers were giving away playing balls on Sunday, let's hope they gave one to coach Kyle Shanahan, and that's because he drafted an almost perfect game plan for the team during his Cincinnati win of 41- 17.

In a game where the 49ers totaled 572 yards – the highest total team since 2012, Shanahan made the Bengals wonder about just about every offensive game San Francisco has played. The 49ers were basically able to do whatever they wanted in the game, where they went 31

3 yards through the air and 259 yards on the ground.

In the first quarter, it was pretty clear that the Bengalis were outnumbered by Shanahan's insult. On Jimmy Garoppolo's first touchdown of the day, the defender found Marquis Goodwin, who couldn't be more wide open for a score that came from 38 yards out.

Week 2 is in the books and there is much to overcome. Fortunately, Will Brinson, John Breach, Ryan Wilson and Sean Wagner-MacGoff are here to break everything in the latest episode of Pick Six Podcast. Listen to the full show below and be sure to subscribe here here .

Shanahan is not just picking the long ball.

On his next possession after Goodwin's result, Shanahan called out a screen that caught the Bengals completely on the lookout. The 49ers perfected it and Raheem Mostert finished the game with 39 yards out.

For the 49ers fans, the biggest highlight of the win was probably watching Garoppolo, who seemed confident just a week after struggling with the opener from San Francisco. The 49ers finished the first half against the Bengals with a total of 291 yards, which was more than the entire Bucaniers Week 1 game (256 yards).

Overall, Garoppolo rushed for 297 yards and three touchdowns.

With Garapolo on fire, the Bengals never had any idea what was coming, which allowed Shanahan to start the 49ers' ground game. Led by Matt Brad, who rushed for 121 yards, the 49ers totaled 259 yards on the ground, their highest pick since December 2014.

Although the 49 men have struggled in the first two years of Shanahan with the team , it starts to look like this will be the season where he finally manages to collect all the pieces of the puzzle after nearly 24 months of construction.

The thing about the 2019 49ers is that they are already doing things that the team has not done for years. A win against the Bengals means that they are now 2-0 in the Eastern Time Zone, which doesn't even seem right if you consider that they went 0-12 Eastern from 2015 to 2018

41 points against The Bengals mean the 49ers have earned 30 points or more in back-to-back games to start the season for the first time since 1998. Also, the 49ers' first two wins also came on the road, marking the first time San Francisco has won road games back-to-back games to start the 1989 season and as the 49ers fans know, this 1989 season ended with a Super Bowl victory. And not just every Super Bowl win, but the most dominant Super Bowl victory (55-10 over the Broncos).

The 49ers front office has shown a lot of patience for Shahan and general manager John Lynch, and that patience is already paying off with the 2019 season beginning to look special. The 49ers will host Pittsburgh in Week 3 and start 3-0 for the first time since 1998.
