The NHL has announced that it has stopped Garnet Hathaway three spitting games for Eric Goodbranson during the second period of Wednesday's game. Hathaway had an NHL hearing this morning.
Hathaway will also lose $ 24,193.53 in salary to the Players Emergency Fund.

Hathaway spits on Goodbrightson, after C Goodwransson it hits him by hitting him. two players were kept separated by officials. After the game, Hathaway expressed regret but did not apologize. He said spitting "has no place (in the game)". Goodbranson replied, saying the incident was almost as low as hockey behavior.
Ducks coach Dallas Ekins said that "I think I've been in pro-hockey for 30 years maybe and I've never seen him before. It's just something you don't see in the game "It's just a shaker on the head." He added, "I'm just glad it wasn't one of our guys who did it because it wouldn't work out well in our locker room."
