Nick Carter and his wife Lauren Keith were thrilled and surprised to learn they were expecting a third child.
The Backstreet Boys star and his wife have had multiple miscarriages over the years and did not think it was possible to have another baby.
“I was fully set up to have only two children and I had prepared for it and arranged for it,” Keith, 37, told People magazine. “We were going to have two children, and that was a surprise. I didn’t realize I was pregnant until I was about five and a half months pregnant.”

Keith admitted that he thought he had a tumor, “because there was simply no way I could be pregnant, just from my medical history and the things I did to ensure I just had two children.”

The two even talked about using a surrogate in the near future to expand their family.
“With everything 2020 has given to the world, I see it as a blessing,” said Carter, 40. “We love our two children and are proud to be great parents.”

The singer and fitness expert / trainer got married in 2014 and share a son, Odin, 4, and a daughter, Saoirse, 15 months.
“I’ve always wanted to love someone, someone unconditionally, and give everything to these people, my wife, my children, and be selfless,” Carter said. “Now that I have it, yes, I live my dream and I am very grateful for that and very blessed.”
