The North Dakota Department of Health is working with the South Dakota Department of Health in finding people who may have been exposed to rabid puppy or puppy's littermates.
On Thursday, August 29th a puppy tested positive for rabies in South Dakota. DOH says there is very little known about puppy but last lived in Agency Village, South Dakota.
DOH says puppy had at least three littermates that were brought by individuals who are unknown. "It's possible that some of the new owners may be North Dakota residents," said epidemiologist Alicia Torfin.
Anyone who may have information regarding whereabouts of these puppies should call the NDDoH at 800-472-21
