MADISON (WKOW) – If you look north tonight, you can see Aurora Borealis, also known as the Northern Lights. the lights will be visible to most of the northern states, including here in Wisconsin.
The SWPC says the best viewing time will be from 19:00 Wednesday evening to 3:00 AM on Thursday. Even better, the sky will be only partly cloudy, which will allow the best shot to see them. collide with neutral atoms in the upper atmosphere, creating a dazzling image of green-colored light in the sky. Plan to allow your eyes to adjust to the dark for at least fifteen minutes before trying to view the lights. to infinity."
