OMEGA continues to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 lunar landing with a very special release of the original Calibre 321 movement; the same movement in the Speedmaster ST 105.012 that was worn to the moon on July 21, 1969.
After extensive research and development, the team at OMEGA reconstructed the original movement to be housed in a commemorative Speedmaster watch made of platinum and white gold. The watch sits at 42mm and features twisted lugs, three subdials that use meteorite material from the moon itself, and a sapphire display back, and a leather strap with a platinum buckle.
There is no word yet on availability or pricing, but we can assume that given the rarity of the material used, this watch will come with a premium price tag and in limited quantity.
