Together, these three cameras imply a seamless transition from 1x to 10x magnification, with the main shooter and periscope further enhanced with optical image stabilization. Oppo added that this solution drastically reduces the thickness of the entire camera module, although it still has to reveal figures. What we know is that this technology is already ready for mass production, but there is no word when we see it on the phone. We will hear more when Oppo demonstrates this technology on MWC next month.
The idea of integrating a periscope into a smartphone is not new. Even before Oppo's earlier 5x Hybrid design, ASUS had a 3x optical zoom zoom in ZenFone Zoom, although our own Chris Velasco was not fond of image quality due to the choice of sensor. We hope that the implementation of Oppo will not disappoint us.

said this technology might not be exclusive to Oppo, as Xiaomi President Lin Bin also annoyed a larger fingerprint recognition area before the Oppo event. Either way, this is good news for consumers.
