Oprah spoke in person with Breona Taylor’s mother about the historical cover

Breona Taylorthe mother knew in advance that her daughter would become the first person other than Oprah to appear solo on the cover of O magazine … because O said to herself.

Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ … Oprah’s team reached out to one of Breona’s family lawyers, Ben Crumpa few weeks ago to see if he could contact his mother directly, Tamika Palmer,,

We are told that there is no hesitation on the part of Breona’s family … Oprah received Tamika’s number and called her in early June … shortly after O posted a tribute to Breonna’s birthday on Instagram.

We are told that the two women spoke for the first time and were the only ones in the conversation. Oprah then revealed her plan to Tamika to put Breona on the cover and ask for her blessing.

Our sources claim that Tamika was “astonished” by Oprah’s gesture – calling it an incredible moment – and of course, she revered Oh for doing something she had never done before in honor of Breona.

As we announced … Breona’s cover is historicalas this is the only time Oprah hasn’t been on it. She stepped aside for one of her latest publications and dedicated it to Taylor, saying, “If you close your blind eye to racism, you become an accomplice.” The words … “HER ANIMAL MATTERS” are written on the cover.

Breona was killed by Louisville police on March 13 at her own home in attacked attack over the “no hammer” order. So far, her death has led to no arrests that have sparked countless protests … along with her death George Floyd,,

In an interview with CBS This Morning, Oprah expressed her desire to protest, saying … “If it weren’t for COVID, I would be marching through the streets.”
